Seeing others photos

The kids came home from their Dad's house. He has been sending the kids home with photos that have been taken of them there. He got them dollar store photo albums to put them in. They love them and I love seeing the things that they do when they are with their Dad.

However the photos are never very good. I still find it odd that they use a film camera. I have been using digital for so long it seems odd and old fashioned that someone would still take photos with a film camera!

The photos are often out of focus or too dark or over exposed. He doesn't seem to care that these things are wrong with the photos and sends them anyway. Often times you have to take a really hard look to see what child is in the picture because their face is all shadows because of their cowboy hat.

All the photos that I look at that he sends, I can't help thinking, if he had done this it would look better. If he had done this it would be exposed properly. He should have turned the kids this way or that to make it brighter and not so dark in this one.

Film or digital, there are ways of mastering our media. Welcome to the word of "I know I could do better" snobbery... lol
