More practicing!

I took my camera to school yesterday. I forgot to bring my hot shoe flash so I only had the little on board flash that comes with the camera. These photos turned out not too bad for only using that little flash!

I am making a backdrop tonight out of an old white sheet. I am going to tie dye the sheet in blue and hope that it works out well for me! I plan to try it out tomorrow outside or inside with a window open!

I will post pictures from that trial session tomorrow. My daughter loves getting her photos taken so I might just do a shoot of her!

Using my flash at night

I read more of my camera manual tonight. I learned that I can enlarge photos when I preview them on the camera's screen. I also learned that I can take a piece of the eye piece....I have a cup that slips onto there and I love that. I was sad because I didn't think it would fit before I figured that little tidbit out!

So tonight I was taking photos of the kids with the big hot shoe flash. I can move the end of the flash around on that one so I was playing with that as well.

Travel Pictures!

We're going on vacation in January and that means I can take some awesome travel shots while we are gone! I can't wait to get out there and use my camera while we are in the sun and surf!

Testing out the zoom lens

I took these two photos from my doorstep. Trying out my 80-200mm lens. I couldn't go out for a walk because my dayhome child's mom was coming right away and it is much too cold for her to be out there not dressed for the weather!

I will go out later this afternoon on a walk to get a better sense of what my lenses can do!

I want to try putting the two times adapter onto a couple of my lenses and see what they can do!

Thru The Lens of The Queen

I am going to post all my photos that I take on this blog. I am starting a new journey in photography. Before this I only had a simple point and shoot digital camera. I bought a Pentax K100D digital SLR camera on the weekend.

I will be taking lots of photos learning how to use my equipment at first. Then I will be doing some portrait work and such!

I already have some models lined up for me to take portraits of and I can't wait!
